6/11/2023 Dropping into Knowing
I'm circling back to the concept of knowledge, viewing it as something to be deeply ingrained at all levels and across various aspects of our lives. Those who truly own their knowledge are easily distinguishable. They exude a different aura in the way they walk, talk, and act.
Currently, I'm in the process of dropping into my own knowledge, specifically as it pertains to my running and the final weeks of training for Coast to Kosci. This knowledge encompasses a deep understanding of my fatigue level, a profound awareness of how my body feels, recognition of my strengths and weaknesses, and informed decisions regarding race aspects from nutrition to pacing. It's about knowing what's best for me as an athlete and as Luca. I'm making the shift from merely believing that something works or is best for me to knowing it at a visceral, physical, and psychological level. It's about taking full ownership. Belief can sometimes imply a dependency on someone or something external, or even an internal state. Knowing, however, is straightforward and unadulterated. It's liberating. It allows me to operate from a place of unencumbered authenticity and grow, no matter the circumstances. 30/10/2023 Just Begin
Whatever it is that you want, need, hope, or think of doing, just begin. Step out of your mind, get out of your own way, and take that first step.
Let everything else snowball from there.
29/10/2023 Am I ready?
I often ask myself, "Am I ready?"
There is no workout , metric or person who can tell me. The answer is simple. I'll know I'm ready when I will stop asking the question 27/10/2023 Sitting is the new smoking
The body is so sore after sitting at the desk for a couple of days in a row. Good to be back standing and moving.
A good reminder of the way my body works Stand up, move! Don't sit on your butt! Sitting is the new smoking
23/10/2023 People can be mirrors for our soul
There are people who inspire me for their accomplishments, others for their deep thinking and intellectual flexibility, and some for their creativity, ability to communicate, resilience, ease of life, family values, and much more. In fact, there's something I admire in every person in my circle of friends.
I believe it's important to share with them why I admire someone. It feels good to be seen on both sides. By openly expressing my admiration for qualities I highly value in others, it leads to a higher level of introspection that I wouldn't achieve otherwise. The right people can serve as mirrors for our own souls. |
